Description
The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000 2x120V is a UL-approved inverter charger with a 2x120V split-phase output architecture.
The 2x120V architecture is what distinguishes this from the standard MultiPlus, and it is specifically for North American split-phase installations. That means it can supply 120V loads on two legs and 240V across them, which a single-output inverter cannot do at all. A boat with a 240V appliance needs this arrangement rather than a bigger single-phase unit.
UL approval matters where an installation is being inspected or insured, since a non-approved inverter can be a problem regardless of how well it performs. PowerAssist protects a limited AC source by reducing charging demand and then supplementing shore or generator power from the batteries.
It supports Victron Energy Storage System applications and has an external current-transformer option for PowerControl, PowerAssist and self-consumption optimization. Inverter operation begins in under 20 milliseconds when external AC fails, and a compatible GX device such as Cerbo GX adds local or remote monitoring and control. Explore more inverter chargers.
