The Victron Blue Smart IP22 is a 12V 20A single-bank charger with Bluetooth, for dry protected installations.

Twenty amps at 12 volts suits a moderate house bank, returning it overnight rather than over a weekend. Undersizing a charger is a common and expensive mistake, since a bank that never quite reaches full charge sulfates and loses capacity permanently while appearing to work.

The adaptive six-stage algorithm runs test, bulk, absorption, recondition, float and storage, matching charging to battery condition and usage. Storage mode lowers long-term float voltage after extended periods without discharge, reducing gassing on a boat left connected through the off season.

It can initiate recovery of deeply discharged batteries under supported conditions. NIGHT and LOW modes reduce output current for quieter or lower-demand charging, and the high-efficiency design minimizes wasted heat and standby consumption. IP22 means dry mounting only.
