Veratron NMEA 2000 Wind Sensor - 9 to 16V

The Veratron NMEA 2000 Wind Sensor, 9 to 16V, is an AcquaLink-type unit that measures both wind speed and direction mechanically and reports both over a standard NMEA 2000 connection to any compatible display aboard.

A wind vane physically turns to track wind direction and drives the direction reading on a paired gauge, while separate wind cups spin with relative wind speed and feed that data to a speed display. Inside, a Hall-effect sensor paired with cross coils converts that mechanical movement into the electrical signal the NMEA 2000 network actually transmits, a proven, reliable approach for marine wind instrumentation that doesn't depend on more failure-prone ultrasonic sensing.
