Description

The Veratron EngineBox, Double Engine, expands the capability of Veratron's NavBox for multi-engine applications, or works entirely on its own when navigation data isn't part of the setup, giving installers real flexibility depending on what a given boat actually needs.

Both NMEA 2000 and J1939 CAN ports are built in, and purpose-built analog inputs handling RPM signals along with both resistive and capacitive sensor types mean this gateway also works on older, fully analog engines that predate digital networking entirely, a useful bridge for retrofitting an older boat rather than requiring a full engine electronics upgrade. Programming runs through a free, intuitive PC configuration tool, though note that Veratron's Diagnostic Tool (USB to NMEA 2000) and Configuration Software are both required to actually set this unit up. ISO 8846:1990 compliance means it's rated for installation right in the engine compartment itself, not just at a remote panel.

2x J1939 ports, 1x M12 5-pin NMEA 2000, 2x RPM inputs (0-4kHz), up to 8x resistive inputs (0-400 ohm), 2x 4-20mA inputs, 2x 0-5V inputs (dual engine configuration). Operating range -40°C to +85°C. Includes engine cable and cable harness. Sold individually.

We carry more in our marine networking.

  • Analog to NMEA 2000 and J1939 to NMEA 2000 gateway in one unit
  • Works with older, fully analog engines via dedicated analog inputs
  • ISO 8846 1990 compliant for engine compartment installation
  • Status LED, compact design
