The Tecnoseal Yanmar Saildrive Split Collar Anode fits Yanmar SD20, SD25, SD30, SD31, SD40, SD50 and SD60 saildrives. It replaces original part number 196440-026600. It comes without fittings.
Zinc is the traditional choice for saltwater use, but it isn't suited to fresh water, where it can develop a coating that stops it from working. Plate adaptors are available as PLAC-1, and the bolts are sold as KIT01305-1. Make sure you have the right hardware before hauling the boat.
Saildrives sit in the water full time, so their anode needs regular checks. Replace anodes when they're about half consumed, and never paint them, because paint stops them from working. The Volvo Penta saildrive anode is in our marine anodes section.
