Description
The Stroup Mini 1 has a 3-inch acid etched 1095 high carbon steel trailing point blade at 6.75 inches overall, an olive drab green G10 handle and a sheath. Made in the USA.
A trailing point sweeps the spine upward toward the tip, putting the point above the handle line and lengthening the curved belly below it. That extra belly is what makes the shape a skinner's blade. Seeing it on a 3-inch neck knife is unusual, since the shape normally appears on hunting fixed blades twice this size.
1095 holds about one percent carbon, taking a very keen edge and stropping back in seconds, though it will darken and needs to be kept dry.
