Description
The Stroup TU2 has a 4-inch acid etched 1095 high carbon steel clip point blade at 8.5 inches overall, a black G10 handle and a sheath. Made in the USA.
The TU2 sits between the MK2 and the TU1 in the Stroup range, matching the MK2's 4-inch blade in a slightly longer overall package, which puts a little more handle in the hand. 1095 holds about one percent carbon, taking a very keen edge and stropping back in seconds, though it will darken and needs to be kept dry.
Acid etching leaves a dark mottled surface that slows rust and hides use marks, left deliberately rough as part of the shop's look.
