The Stroup Bravo 5 has a 3.5-inch acid etched 1095 high carbon steel wharncliffe blade at 7.75 inches overall, a gray G10 handle and a Kydex sheath. Made in the USA.
This is the Kydex-sheathed Bravo 5, where the olive drab version ships in leather. Kydex holds the blade with a positive snap rather than friction, sheds water, and lets the knife be carried inverted or mounted flat against a rig. Gray G10 alongside it makes for the most muted version of the knife, reading closer to a work tool than a tactical one.
1095 holds about one percent carbon, taking a very keen edge and stropping back in seconds, though it will darken and needs to be kept dry.
