Description

The Stroup Bravo 5 Tanto has a 3.5-inch acid etched 1095 high carbon steel tanto blade at 7.75 inches overall, a gray G10 handle and a Kydex sheath. Made in the USA.

This is the tanto version of the Bravo 5, where the standard model runs a wharncliffe. The tanto puts a reinforced corner at the front for piercing and prying, trading the wharncliffe's full-contact straight edge. For anyone using the knife on hard material rather than for controlled cutting, that is the version to take.

1095 holds about one percent carbon, taking a very keen edge and stropping back in seconds, though it will darken and needs to be kept dry. Acid etching leaves a dark mottled surface that slows rust and hides use marks, left deliberately rough as part of the shop's look. Explore more Tactical Fixed Blade Knives.

  • Tanto version rather than the standard wharncliffe
  • Reinforced tip for piercing and prying hard material
  • 1095 strops back keen in seconds
  • 3.5-inch blade, 7.75 inches overall, Kydex sheath
