Description

The Stroup Bravo 5 has a 3.5-inch acid etched 1095 high carbon steel clip point blade at 7.75 inches overall in a black G10 handle, with a sheath. Made in the USA.

Acid etching leaves a dark, mottled surface rather than a polish. It slows rust on carbon steel and hides use marks, and on a Stroup it is left deliberately rough as part of the shop's look. 1095 is a plain high carbon steel with about one percent carbon, taking a very keen edge and coming back on a stone quickly, though it will darken over time and needs to be kept dry.

Stroup builds in North Carolina in small batches, and the flat grind and squared spine reflect a knife made to be used rather than styled. G10 over the tang stays dimensionally stable in heat, cold and damp. Explore more Tactical Fixed Blade Knives.
