Standard Horizon SCU-30 Wireless Base Station Unit

This Standard Horizon SCU-30 Wireless Base Station Unit is the required access point behind wireless RAM4W microphone operation, plugging into the back of a compatible radio to let a RAM4W handset connect without any cable run to the main station. System limits still matter, so the number of supported remote connections should be considered before committing to the installation layout. Mounting location should provide reliable communication with the handset while keeping the base unit and its wiring protected.

One detail worth knowing before ordering: connecting the SCU-30 limits the radio to a single RAM4 connection, so an installation planning multiple remote stations should factor that trade-off in ahead of time. For multi-station boats, planning the radio, base station, and remote controls together prevents compatibility surprises late in the installation. This unit is a system component rather than a standalone radio, so it should be purchased only for the supported Standard Horizon configuration.

This accessory should be matched to the exact compatible radio and remote microphone system before ordering. The wireless connection can simplify installations where routing a control cable to a remote station would be difficult or undesirable. Browse more communication accessories.
