Spyderco Manix 2 XL Canvas Micarta Folding Knife

The Spyderco Manix 2 XL Canvas Micarta (C95MPCW2) is the larger Manix 2, with a 3.86-inch CPM Cru-Wear blade and an overall length close to 9 inches. It scales up the standard Manix 2 for bigger hands, gloved use, and heavier outdoor tasks. Like the smaller model, it is made in Golden, Colorado.

Some listings call it a liner lock, but the XL uses the same Ball Bearing Lock as the standard Manix 2. A caged, spring-loaded bearing locks the blade solidly, and you pull the bearing back with your thumb to close it. Because the release sits at the center of the spine, it works equally well for left- and right-handed users.

CPM Cru-Wear is a tough powder tool steel that holds an edge well, though it is not fully stainless and should be kept dry and lightly oiled. Canvas Micarta is layers of canvas in resin, which grips better as it wears and darkens with years of handling. A four-position clip and the large Round Hole round out the design.
