Springfield In-Shore LE1 Adjustable Mainstay Package

The Springfield In-Shore LE1 Adjustable Mainstay Package is a heavy-duty adjustable pedestal for helm and fishing seats on larger and faster boats. It adjusts from 13-1/2 to 19 inches, a wide enough range that a tall captain and a shorter crew member can both reach the wheel comfortably. This package is built in stainless steel, which holds its finish in salt spray and sun better than painted or plain aluminum hardware.

Mainstay is Springfield's heavy-duty pedestal line, with a keyed post that stops the seat from rotating in the base. A large base spreads the load into the deck, which matters on bay boats, flats skiffs, and center consoles that pound through a chop. The height locks where you set it, so the seat stays put underway.

Center the base over a stringer or add a solid backing plate, because a tall pedestal multiplies every bump into leverage at the deck.
