Springfield 2-7/8-Inch Adjustable Mainstay 10-12 In

The Springfield 2-7/8-Inch Adjustable Mainstay 10-12 In is a short heavy-duty pedestal package for helm seats that only need a little height adjustment. An air cylinder rated at 500 newtons lifts the seat when you release the lock. The 2-7/8-inch inner post rides in a 3-1/2-inch outer post with a four-keyed design that keeps the seat from twisting.

A locking Trac-Lock swivel and slide and a 9-inch round base are included, all in anodized aluminum. Short Mainstay packages are common on walkaround boats and bowriders where the helm sits low and a tall pedestal would put the operator above the windshield. Two inches of travel is enough to fine-tune sight lines over the dash.

Before drilling, set the seat on the slide and check that it clears the console and side panels through the full slide travel and swivel arc.
