Description

The SOG Seal Pup has a 4.75-inch partially serrated AUS-8 stainless clip point blade in a gray powder coat at 9 inches overall, a black glass reinforced Zytel handle with finger grooves and grip lines, a lanyard hole and a Kydex sheath.

The Seal Pup is the smaller version of the knife SOG built for Navy SEAL testing, and the pattern earned its name by passing a punishing series of trials in the 1990s. The edge is split, plain toward the tip and serrated nearer the handle, which puts the controlled section where detail cutting happens and the aggressive teeth where the hand pushes hardest on rope and webbing.

Finger grooves and scored grip lines molded into the Zytel give the hand a fixed set of positions, which matters when hands are cold or wet. AUS-8 takes a keen edge easily and resists rust well, and the powder coat protects the blade while cutting glare. Explore more Tactical Fixed Blade Knives.
