The Shakespeare Style 396-1 5-Foot VHF Antenna is a proven, basic 3dB design engineered to cut down on the signal dropout that rough water tends to cause, and it's reportedly the single most widely used antenna aboard U.S. Coast Guard vessels, a real endorsement of its dependability in demanding conditions.
A center-fed half-wave coaxial sleeve keeps the design simple and reliable, and brass-and-copper elements deliver the range and consistency that has made this antenna a long-standing standard rather than a newer, unproven design. A chrome-plated brass ferrule threaded 1"-14 handles mounting, matching Shakespeare's Style 4187 Ratchet Mount.
One section, 5' height. Includes 15' RG-58 cable with PL-259 connector. Suggested mount: Shakespeare Style 4187 Ratchet Mount (sold separately).
