This is the reduced-length version of Shakespeare's proven 5225-XT-AIS design, running genuine broadband VHF performance across the wider spectrum AIS actually needs. One detail worth knowing before installation: this antenna is DC grounded, meaning it will read as shorted on a continuity test, which is expected behavior for this design rather than a fault.
