The Shadow-Caster SCR-16 is a 4 inch bronze underwater light running 16 LEDs at 60W in Bimini Blue, with a scratch-resistant glass lens.

Bimini Blue is the color for clear water, where it travels further than white and produces the glow most people picture when they think of underwater lighting. In stained or tannic water it is the wrong choice and the Great White version does considerably more, so the decision follows the water rather than taste.

Sixteen LEDs at 60W is the mid output in the SCR range, suiting a boat where the 24-LED version would be more fixture than the transom needs. The bronze housing integrates everything with no separate hardware, and the low-profile surface mount requires no hull alteration.

A 10 to 30 volt input covers 12 and 24 volt systems from one part, with the LEDs rated over 40,000 hours. Surge and reverse polarity protection disconnect the input on a fault, and thermal protection keeps the unit from overheating in warm shallow water. Explore more underwater lights.
