Scout 3.3-Foot Stainless Steel VHF Whip Antenna

The Scout 3.3-Foot Stainless Steel VHF Whip Antenna is the KS-23A, built for small boats and RIBs that need a light, flexible antenna. At about 3 ft long and only 0.5 lb, it adds almost no weight or windage. The smooth, compact profile looks right on a center console, skiff or tender.

The electropolished stainless steel whip bends instead of breaking when it takes a hit, and it unscrews by hand when you need it off. It covers 156 to 162 MHz with a half-wave electrical length, vertical polarization and 50 ohm impedance. It handles up to 50 W and is DC grounded.

A 5 m (about 16 ft) extra-flexible RG-58 CU MIL coax is included. The base has a standard 1 in-14 thread that fits most marine antenna mounts. The whip is easy to stow under a cover or when trailering. Other antennas are in our marine antennas section.
