Description

The Scanstrut DS-LP-30-S Low-Profile Cable Seal takes cables from 9 to 14mm in marine-grade 316 stainless, with reduced mounting height.

Low profile is the whole point, reducing mounting height compared with Scanstrut's standard dome seals. A dome seal stands proud of the deck where it can catch a sheet, a foot or a fender line. On a working foredeck the lower fitting is the one that survives and stops causing trouble.

The trade against the dome versions is that a low seal does not shed standing water in the same way. On a surface that drains it makes no difference, but somewhere water pools the dome shape has a genuine advantage.

Marine-grade 316 stainless gives corrosion resistance in exposed positions along with a finished appearance. Nine to 14mm covers antenna, navigation light and general electronics cables, and a slimline seal suits an installation where appearance matters. Explore more cable seals and glands.

  • Lower mounting height than the dome seals
  • A dome catches a sheet, a foot or a fender line
  • The trade: a dome sheds standing water better
  • 316 stainless for an exposed position
