The Scanstrut DS30-P-BLK Vertical Cable Seal is a five-pack of IP68 dome-shaped seals for cables from 9 to 14mm.

The split-seal design is what allows a pre-terminated cable to pass through without removing its connector. That is the whole problem with cable glands on a boat: a coax or a plotter cable arrives with a molded plug, and a conventional gland means cutting it off and refitting a connector afterward.

The dome-shaped housing gives impact resistance and acts as an additional water shield above the seal itself. Vertical seals sit on horizontal surfaces where water stands, so the dome sheds it rather than letting it pool around the entry.
