Scanstrut DS30-S Stainless Vertical Cable Seal

The Scanstrut DS30-S Stainless Vertical Cable Seal takes cables from 9 to 14mm in a polished stainless housing, rated IP68.

Stainless rather than plastic is the choice here, and it is about appearance as much as durability. A polished stainless seal on a foredeck reads as part of the boat's hardware alongside cleats and stanchion bases, where a black plastic dome reads as an addition.

Nine to 14mm covers antenna, navigation light and general marine electronics cables. The DS40-S takes 12 to 15mm for heavier cables and the DS21 range covers 4 to 9mm, so the diameter decides which of the three is correct.
