Samlex Desktop 12V 10A Switching Power Supply

The Samlex desktop switching power supply gives regulated 13.8V DC at up to 10 amps from standard AC power.

Desktop rather than fixed-mount is the format, so it sits on a bench or a chart table rather than being installed. That suits testing equipment, running a radio at the dock or powering 12V gear ashore, where a permanently wired supply would be the wrong answer.

Thirteen point eight volts is the land-mobile-radio standard the design came from. Transceivers specify that figure rather than 12, and a supply set to nominal 12V costs transmit power on a radio expecting the higher number.

Switch-mode circuitry keeps it compact and efficient while minimizing ripple and radio-frequency interference.
