The peanut is one of the smallest two-blade traditional patterns still made. The clip blade covers general cutting while the spey's flat edge and rounded tip handle scraping and skinning without a point to puncture. At 2.75 inches closed the whole knife disappears in a pocket alongside keys, which is the entire argument for the pattern.
