The Roper Sunset Trapper has satin-finished 1065 carbon steel clip and spey blades in an acrylic handle with Southwest artwork and nickel silver bolsters, closing to 4.13 inches.

The clip blade covers general cutting while the spey blade's flat edge and rounded tip handle skinning and scraping without a point to puncture what lies beneath, the pairing that made the trapper a working stock knife. Southwest artwork is set into the acrylic rather than printed on the surface, so pocket wear cannot rub it away, and light passing into the material gives the color a depth bone cannot match.
