Description

The Ronstan 105mm TriggerSnap Quick-Release Shackle is made for larger quick-release rigging connections that need one-handed operation, high strength, and a proof-tested stainless body. One-handed TriggerSnap operation lets the crew attach or release the larger fitting without having to free both hands from the job at hand. Under load, the 105mm shackle can be tripped with an aluminum spike, keeping the operator's hand farther from the moving release mechanism. The 105mm version gives riggers a clearly defined size choice within the TriggerSnap range.

The 105mm TriggerSnap uses heat-treated investment-cast 15-5PH stainless steel for the main body so the larger fitting retains a high strength-to-weight ratio. Ronstan proof-load tests every unit and stamps it with a production code, giving the hardware traceability for inspection records. The corrosion-resistant construction is intended for repeated marine use rather than occasional dry-land attachment. Despite the added length, the mechanism remains focused on quick release and controlled handling under load.

  • One-handed TriggerSnap attachment and release
  • Can be released under load with an aluminum spike
  • Heat-treated stainless construction
  • Individually proof-load tested and production coded

Match the 105mm shackle to attachment points that allow the bail and body to articulate without binding against surrounding fittings. Keep the trigger clear of salt and grit, and confirm that the spike-release action works smoothly before the shackle is put back into service. When a loaded release is necessary, use the intended trigger method instead of placing fingers next to the moving latch.
