Ronstan 73mm Large Swivel Bail Snap Shackle

The Ronstan 73mm Large Swivel Bail Snap Shackle is a marine rigging fitting for running rigging and deck connections that need a compact snap shackle with a large swiveling bail. A robust plunger spring gives the 73mm shackle a crisp latch action, and the shaped body leaves useful clearance as the hasp swings open. Ronstan spot welds the plunger release ring so the release point remains secure instead of depending on a loose split ring. The plunger can also take a release lanyard when the shackle is mounted where the ring is hard to reach directly.

The swiveling bail defines how the shackle aligns with the connected hardware once it is installed. Ronstan investment-casts the body and hasp from 15-5PH stainless steel, giving the load-carrying parts high strength with good corrosion resistance. Grade 316 stainless steel is used for the plunger pin and spring because those moving pieces remain exposed to spray and deck wash.
