Wichard HR Snap Shackle Large Bail 140mm

The Wichard high-resistance snap shackle gives a forged 17.4 PH stainless-steel connection for sail-control applications requiring high working and breaking loads. Its swivel arrangement allows free rotation so the connected sheet, halyard, or sail hardware can align more naturally instead of forcing twist into the attachment.

The captive plunger pin remains retained in the hook so it cannot become detached during normal handling. Pulling the plunger pin opens the shackle, and a lanyard can be attached for easier release when the installation requires remote or faster operation.

Confirm overall length, eye or bail dimensions, working load, breaking load, connected line or fitting size, and swivel clearance before use. Make sure the plunger or quick-release mechanism closes completely before loading. Inspect the hook, swivel, release pin, bail or eye, and any lanyard regularly for wear, deformation, corrosion, or accidental-release hazards.
