The Ronstan ClearStart 50mm Black/Gray Sailing Race Watch is designed for racing sailors who want a larger display, substantial controls, and a durable case for regular use on the water. This Black/Gray version combines a recessed mineral crystal lens with a glass-reinforced polycarbonate case, while lower-profile textured buttons make the timing functions easy to find and operate.

A flexible injection-molded silicone band improves comfort, and the 50mm format provides a clear multi-line display for race timing. Race Mode includes World Sailing 5-4-1-0, match racing, and user-set start sequences. The SYNC function can correct the countdown when a start sequence is picked up late, and audible signals help sailors follow the sequence without continuously watching the display.

After the starting sequence, the ClearStart can repeat the countdown or switch to count-up mode for elapsed race time. Everyday functions include 12 or 24 hour time, selectable date format, daily alarm, chronograph, and a luminescent backlight with battery-saving control.
