Description

The Pacer Red/Yellow 6/2 AWG Flat Safety Duplex Cable is a 50-foot length with a talcum-coated jacket extruded around the conductors.

Fifty feet of 6 gauge duplex covers one heavy circuit where positive and negative run the same path. The 100-foot version suits two such circuits or a longer single run, and measuring the path first is what decides between them at a gauge this expensive.

Red and yellow follows ABYC safety coding, with yellow used so a DC negative cannot be confused with an AC conductor. The extruded jacket reduces the voids where air or moisture could collect, which matters on a cable terminated in a damp space.

A talcum coating on the interior wires helps the jacket strip more easily during termination. The flat profile keeps both conductors close against a panel or bulkhead, where a round pair at this gauge would sit proud and need a chase. Explore more duplex and triplex cable.

  • 50 feet for one heavy circuit run together
  • The 100-foot version covers two, or a longer run
  • Measure first at a gauge this expensive
  • Yellow keeps the negative distinct from AC
