Description

The Pacer Red/Black 6/2 AWG Flat Duplex Cable is a 100-foot length with a talcum-coated jacket extruded around the conductors.

Extruding the jacket directly around the conductors reduces the voids where air and moisture would otherwise collect. A jacket that merely surrounds loose conductors leaves channels running the length of the cable, and moisture entering at a cut end travels along them rather than stopping.

A talcum coating between the conductors and the jacket makes the jacket easier to strip without nicking the insulation underneath. That matters at 6 gauge, where the jacket is thick and a stripping cut deep enough to get through it can easily reach the conductor insulation.

Six gauge duplex suits low-voltage AC or DC circuits where both conductors run the same path. Finely stranded Type III tinned copper gives flexibility and corrosion resistance, and the flat construction keeps the pair organized against a panel or bulkhead. Explore more duplex and triplex cable.

  • Jacket extruded around the conductors, not over them
  • Voids let moisture travel from a cut end
  • Talcum coating helps the jacket strip cleanly
  • At 6 gauge a deep cut reaches the insulation
