The Pacer Black 1 AWG Battery Cable is a 100-foot spool of Type III finely stranded tinned copper, made in the USA.
Black 1 AWG is the traditional-convention negative for inverter returns, windlass circuits and bank interconnects. Pacer stocks the same gauge in yellow for boats following ABYC, so the choice is about the boat's existing wiring rather than the product.
A hundred feet suits several heavy negative runs, which is a different buying decision from the 50-foot lengths at heavier gauges. At 1 AWG the runs are long enough and numerous enough that a spool makes sense, where 3/0 and 4/0 are bought to a measurement.
