The Old Bear Extra Large Walnut has a 3.75-inch satin stainless blade with a walnut handle, a traditional Italian slip-joint folder. Made in Italy.

Old Bear knives come from Maniago, the northern Italian town that has made blades since the fifteenth century, and the pattern is deliberately plain: one blade, a wood handle, no lock and no clip. Walnut gives the handle a warm, close grain that darkens with handling, so a knife carried for years looks different from one just out of the box. The Extra Large size puts a full 3.75 inches of edge in a hand-filling handle, enough for kitchen work at a picnic table or breaking down a box.
