OceanLED designed the optics exclusively in-house, delivering a striking 90-degree surface beam paired with a focused 20-degree side beam for real water penetration and a wide illuminated area without losing intensity. Plenty of lights on the market claim to be bright, but without focusing that output, raw brightness alone doesn't translate into real underwater performance, which is exactly the gap OceanLED closes here.
At 9,840 raw lumens (5,000 fixture lumens) packed into a small body, combined with those advanced optics, the S3116s runs at least 20% brighter than competing lights, with a true 90-degree beam angle and no fade at the edges, putting it clearly in a class of its own. Flip on Fish-Strobe mode and it emits a randomized strobe pattern proven to draw extra bait fish in.
Install stays simple even for a weekend DIYer: a small 12mm hole through the hull, three screws, and a 12V connection, no bonding required. Maintenance runs close to zero thanks to the Tritonium coating, a wipe of the lens clears marine growth rather than real scrubbing. Made from corrosion-resistant AB2 Aluminium Bronze in a compact 10cm body.
