The Nitecore MT2A Pro is a 5.63-inch slim flashlight with a NiteLab UHi 20 LED, running on a 14500 lithium cell or two AA batteries.
Accepting either a 14500 lithium or two AA cells is the feature worth understanding. On lithium it makes 1,000 lumens. On AA the output drops, but AA cells can be bought anywhere in the world and stored for years. That makes one light work for both everyday carry and a kit that has to run after sitting untouched.
Output on lithium runs 1,000 lumens for 1 hour 30, 300 for 2 hours 45, or 50 lumens for up to 20 hours. The low setting is what most use actually needs, and it is where the runtime becomes properly long.
