Description

The Newmar AC-II 30A Master Breaker Panel has a double-pole breaker disconnecting both hot and neutral, with a power-on indicator.

A double-pole breaker is what makes this a proper master disconnect rather than a switch on one leg. Breaking only the hot leaves the neutral connected, and on a boat where a dock supply may itself be miswired that conductor can still be live. Switching both leaves nothing energized behind it.

The power-on indicator confirms AC is actually present at the panel. That is worth more than it sounds: a dead shore cord, a tripped pedestal breaker and a switched-off panel all look identical from inside the boat.

Thirty amps matches the shore service most recreational boats are wired for. It suits a vessel on shore power or an onboard generator, giving the incoming supply one clear point of control and protection. Explore more marine electrical panels.

  • Double-pole breaks hot and neutral together
  • A miswired dock can leave the neutral live
  • The indicator confirms AC is actually present
  • A dead cord and a tripped breaker look the same inside
