The Morakniv Safe Pro has no point, and that is the entire idea. A 3-inch mirror-finished carbon steel blade ends in a rounded tip with a black and green synthetic handle at 7.75 inches overall, with a synthetic belt sheath. Made in Sweden.
The blunt tip is the whole point. Rounding it off removes the puncture risk on a knife used at height, in a confined space or around inflatable material, and the pattern is standard among riggers, sailors and rescue crews for that reason. It still cuts as well as any Mora along the edge; only the ability to stab is removed.
Carbon steel takes a keener edge than stainless and comes back quickly on a stone, though it will darken over time and needs to be dried after use. Morakniv has worked in Mora, Sweden since 1891, and the Safe Pro keeps the plain, functional build the brand is known for. Explore more Camp and Field Knives.
