Morakniv Basic 511 Carbon Steel Fixed Blade Pink Knife

The Morakniv Basic 511 has a 3.5-inch satin carbon steel clip point blade at 8.13 inches overall, a pink polypropylene handle and a matching pink molded plastic belt sheath. Made in Sweden.

Matching the sheath to the handle is unusual in the Basic range, where most versions pair a colored handle with a black or gray sheath. Here both are pink, so the whole package reads as one object. That makes it the easiest of the Basics to find, whether in a drawer, a toolbag or on the ground.

Carbon steel takes a keener edge than stainless and comes back on a stone faster, at the cost of darkening with use and needing to be dried after use. Polypropylene takes abuse without cracking, and the molded sheath rinses clean where stitched leather would stay damp. Explore more Utility and Work Knives.
