Mastervolt Mac Plus 24/24-30 CZone Charger

The Mastervolt Mac Plus 24/24-30 is a DC-DC charger taking a 24V source and delivering 30A of controlled 24V output to a service bank.

Twenty-four volts in and 24 volts out is not a pointless conversion. The charger regulates a variable or dropping supply into a correct charging profile, which a direct connection cannot do. That matters on long cable runs where voltage drop leaves the service bank permanently undercharged, and on smart alternators that vary output for fuel economy.

A wide DC input range handles Euro 5 and Euro 6 alternator systems specifically, which are the ones that cause the problem. Engine-run detection recognizes when charging power is actually available so the starter battery is not drawn down when the engine is off.

The 3-Step Plus process supports flooded, gel, AGM, spiral, lithium-ion, traction and user-defined chemistries, with temperature compensation and analog voltage sensing at the battery.
