Description

The Marinco 50-Amp Female Locking Shore Power Connector is a 2-pole, 3-wire 125V cord end in a ribbed nylon housing.

Two-pole, three-wire is the specification that separates this from the 125/250V connectors, and the two are not interchangeable. This one has a single hot leg, neutral and ground for 50A 125V service. The split-phase version needs four wires, and a boat wired for one will not work on the other.

The ribbed nylon housing improves grip when connecting or disconnecting, which is worth having around wet dockside equipment. Shore power connections get made with cold hands in poor light, and a smooth housing is harder to seat properly.

The locking design maintains a secure mechanical connection once engaged, reducing accidental separation in normal use. Marinco recommends the appropriate weatherproof cover where additional sealing is needed, and the connector should be fitted with correctly sized marine cable. Explore more shore power connectors.

  • 2-pole 3-wire for 50A at 125V, not 125/250V
  • The split-phase version needs four wires
  • Ribbed housing grips with cold wet hands
  • Female cord end for repairs and custom cordsets
