Description

The Marinco 6365CRN Locking Shore Power Plug is a 50A male plug for 125/250V systems, for replacement cordsets and repairs.

This is the male plug, the pedestal end of a shore power cord, and it goes with the 6364CRN female connector at the other end. Between them the two rebuild a complete 50A cordset from bulk cable, which is worth doing when the existing cord is sound but an end has been damaged.

The locking design keeps the connection secure once the plug is inserted and engaged, which matters at a pedestal where a cord under tension can otherwise work loose. A shore power plug pulling partly out arcs at the blades rather than disconnecting cleanly, and that is how pedestals catch fire.

Corrosion-resistant construction handles moisture and repeated dockside use. It should be installed with correctly sized marine-grade cable and wiring practice appropriate for the shore power system. Explore more shore power connectors.

  • Male plug, the pedestal end of the cord
  • Goes with the 6364CRN female connector
  • Locking prevents a cord under tension working loose
  • A partly withdrawn plug arcs rather than disconnecting
