The Marbles Mini Compass is a 20mm button compass with a magnified face and glow-in-the-dark fluorescent markings.

The magnified face is what makes a dial this small usable. Twenty millimeters is under an inch, and without magnification the graduations are too close together to read a bearing from. Glow markings mean it still works at night after being charged by daylight or a torch, without needing a light held on it.

A button compass is a backup rather than a primary instrument, meant for confirming a general direction rather than walking a precise bearing.
