Lectrotab XKA 12 x 12 MLC-1 Trim Tab Kit

The Lectrotab XKA 12 x 12 MLC-1 Trim Tab Kit combines aluminum-alloy tabs, sealed electric actuators, and a microprocessor-based leveling control in one system. The tabs use marine-grade 6005-T5 aluminum with a corrosion-resistant epoxy coating and a no-break polypropylene hinge. This construction is especially well suited to aluminum hulls while remaining usable on other compatible boats.

The electric actuators are self-contained and non-hydraulic, so there is no hydraulic fluid or pump to install inside the boat. Each actuator is permanently sealed in a non-metallic housing, load tested to push 1,000 lb of force, and equipped with pressure equalization plus an internal brake. The MLC-1 control can move both tabs at the same time from a single button and uses LED position indicators that dim in darkness and brighten in sunlight.

The 12 x 12 in tabs are recommended for boats approximately 18 to 32 ft long, and the actuators provide a 2.25 in stroke with 23 ft cables. The MLC-1 control measures about 3.15 x 3.07 in, requires a 2 in mounting cutout, and operates on 12 or 24V. The kit includes the leveling control, two tabs, two actuators with cables, and an instruction manual.
