Lectrotab XKA 12 x 18 Aluminum Alloy Trim Tab

The Lectrotab XKA 12 x 18 Aluminum Alloy Trim Tab combines a larger fore-aft tab dimension with electric actuation for aluminum and other compatible boats. The tabs are fabricated from marine-grade 6005-T5 aluminum and sealed with a corrosion-resistant epoxy coating. A flexible polypropylene hinge is used to provide long cycle life without relying on a conventional metal hinge.

The electric actuators are self-contained and non-hydraulic, eliminating hydraulic oil, pumps, and interior hydraulic components. Each actuator sits in a permanently sealed non-metallic enclosure and is fully load tested to push 1,000 lb of force. An internal brake resists unwanted tab movement, while internal pressure equalization supports reliable operation as the actuator cycles.

This 12 x 18 in setup is recommended for boats approximately 20 to 40 ft long. The actuators provide a 2.25 in stroke and come with 23 ft cables for routing to the control location. The package includes two aluminum-alloy tabs, two actuators, and an instruction manual, but the control switch is not included.
