Lectrotab XKA 9 x 18 Aluminum Alloy Trim Tab

The Lectrotab XKA 9 x 18 Aluminum Alloy Trim Tab is designed with aluminum-hulled boats in mind while remaining an economical trim solution for other compatible boats. The 6005-T5 marine-grade aluminum tabs are sealed with a corrosion-resistant epoxy coating. A heavy-duty polypropylene hinge replaces a conventional metal hinge and is engineered to flex repeatedly without breaking.

The system uses electric actuators rather than hydraulics, so there is no hydraulic oil to leak and no pump assembly to mount inside the boat. Each actuator is housed in a permanently sealed non-metallic enclosure and is load tested to push 1,000 lb of force. Internal pressure equalization and an internal brake help protect the actuator and prevent unwanted tab movement while underway or backing down.

This configuration is recommended for boats approximately 21 to 30 ft long and uses actuators with a 2.25 in stroke and 23 ft cables. The package includes two aluminum-alloy tabs, two actuators, and an instruction manual, while the control switch is not included. The actuator can use either a standard or low-profile transom mounting bracket to suit different installation layouts.
