Description
The Ka-Bar Dozier Hunter has a 3-inch black finish AUS-8 stainless drop point blade, a foliage green Zytel handle, a thumb stud, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 4.25 inches on a lockback.
A lockback holds the blade with a spine-mounted bar rather than a liner, which is the older and simpler mechanism and has very little in it to go wrong. On a hunting folder that matters more than it does on an everyday knife, since the blade takes load at awkward angles when opening an animal.
Bob Dozier is an Arkansas maker known for hunting knives with thin, high-performing grinds, and his name sits on a folder meant to cut rather than pry. Zytel keeps the knife very light and resists moisture, and foliage green disappears against brush where orange would stand out. Explore more Lockback Knives.
