This is the plain satin black Dozier, the version without a coated blade or a colored handle, and it is the one that reads as a tool rather than as gear. Bob Dozier is an Arkansas maker known for hunting knives with thin, high-performing grinds, and his name sits on a folder meant to cut rather than pry.

    Not quite what I expected

    Item described as AUS 8 blade steel. Knife received was D2 blade steel. While D2 is a better steel it is not stainless steel. I ordered AUS 8 because it is stainless and easier to sharpen. Oh well.
