Description
The Ka-Bar US Navy Fighter has a 7-inch black epoxy powder coated 1095 carbon steel clip point blade with a USN tang stamp at 12 inches overall, a polished stacked leather handle and a leather sheath.
The USN tang stamp is the point of this version. The Navy adopted the pattern alongside the Marine Corps in the 1940s, and the stamp is what collectors and veterans buy it for. Stacked leather is washers of leather threaded onto the tang and compressed, then polished, giving a handle that warms in the hand and wears in over decades.
1095 takes a very keen edge and comes back on a stone quickly, and the epoxy powder coat protects a steel that would otherwise rust. The clip point puts a fine controlled tip on a long blade, useful well beyond what the knife was issued for. Explore more Tactical Fixed Blade Knives.
