Jabsco Macerator Pump Housing Kit for 18690

The Jabsco Macerator Pump Housing Kit is a replacement housing for the Jabsco 18690 series, the 115V AC marine macerator pump. The housing holds the macerator's cutting section and impeller. This housing fits the 18690 series only.

Replace the housing when it is cracked, when the bore is worn from years of use, or when something hard has damaged it. A cracked housing cannot be repaired reliably, and it can leak or lose pumping efficiency. Replacing the housing costs much less than a whole new pump. The 18690 is the AC macerator often found on larger boats with shore power or a generator, and a sound housing keeps its cutter and impeller working as designed. A worn bore lets waste slip past the impeller, so the pump runs longer to empty the tank.

Before starting, empty and flush the holding tank, close the seacocks, and disconnect power. Inspect the impeller and cutter while the pump is apart, replace any worn gaskets, and test the pump with water before closing up the compartment.
