Jabsco 12V Self-Priming Sealed Marine Macerator Pump

The Jabsco 12V Self-Priming Sealed Macerator Pump macerates holding tank waste and pumps it overboard or to a pump-out connection. It moves about 12 GPM through a 1-1/2-inch inlet and a 1-inch hose barb outlet. It self-primes up to 5 feet, survives running dry when the tank empties, and uses a sealed permanent magnet motor that meets ISO 8846 ignition protection.

It draws up to 16 amps, and Jabsco recommends a 20-amp fuse. Wipes and foreign objects are the main cause of macerator jams, so keep them out of the system. Use the pump only where discharge is legal, and use a pump-out station everywhere else. A macerator also lets you empty the tank while underway in legal discharge zones, so you do not have to plan every trip around a pump-out station.

Mount the pump close to the holding tank and below its outlet where possible to help priming. Run fresh water through it after each use. For 24V boats, there is a matching version in our marine toilets and sanitation systems.
